The first two pictures are what the quail look like now and the last two pictures are what they look like as adults. These quail develop beautiful white feathers with black spots. They are rare birds and hard to find. They lay beautiful specked brown and sometimes speckled blue eggs.
This group is sold as straightrun (both males and females) because they are too young to sort the girls from the boys. Pick up in Walkerton.
We raise Japanese Coturnix because we have found this breed to lay gorgeous large eggs and great meat. These birds will be laying eggs and/or ready to butcher at just 6 to 7 weeks. We have been using the eggs to help my daughters asthma and allergies (Scientific evidence has shown that quail eggs help asthma, allergies, and other respiratory ailments). And quail eggs are higher in protein and vitamins than chicken eggs.
