I have had this extremely rare trailer, affectionately known as a canned ham, for well over a decade. Over this time, this rare trailer has become has become almost impossible to find , and over this time, which I had been puttering with it, it has become so rare, that they have become worthy of a total restoration.
I am looking for the right buyer, who understands this, and knows how rare these trailers have become.
Please understand, a buyer is not simply going to hitch it up to there vehicle and drive it away .Though I did tow it here, it will need to be flatbedded away. It certainly needs new wheel bearings , which I had never gotten around to replace. Also, it does not have a title. When I first bought it, in the state of Indiana, all one had to do , in a case like this , is to have a police officer come to the location and take down the vin number, check it to make sure it was not stolen, which I did, but never followed through with. These days one must do the same but ,to my understanding, and again, this is in the state of Indiana, one also has to go to court , which to my understanding , is just traffic court.
One major feature that makes this trailer unique and also extremely hard to find , is the great condition of the cabinetry. Certainly, as I have I said, it deserves a total restoration. I guess one could just continue with puttering with it and make it serviceable and use it as such.
Included with it ,is various pieces of birch plywood, and trim strips which I have left over from various repairs I have completed. Again , it is a work in progress and I am looking for the right buyer who understands this. Asking $5250.00. Will accept the best offer.
